1/4-inch Open Reel
VIDEO TO DIGITAL
Transfer your home movies to DVD or Blu-Ray: 8mm, Super 8mm and 16mm films (silent or sound), VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, D-VHS, Betamax, Laserdisc, Video 8, Hi-8, Digital-8, Mini-DV, DVCAM, HDV or video files from your cell phone, camera or digital storage. Each 8- or 16mm film is transferred to video in chronological order, if possible. After any necessary editing, color correction or other repairs, we can add a title at the front of the video (i. e. "Smith Family Home Movies 1952-1970") and/or music from the era in the genre of your choice (pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, etc.) before creating the final DVD or Blu-Ray. Video tapes are transferred direct to DVD or Blu-Ray unless titles or editing are needed. The transferred video can also be stored on your hard disk, flash drive or any other type of digital storage.
Any video format to DVD or digital storage - $10 per hour of video ($8 per hour over 20 hours).
Additional copies of your DVD - $3 each.
Any non-US-format VHS or DVD to US-format DVD - $20 for the first hour;
$5 each additional hour
VHS video tape repair - FREE ($5 if additional materials or a new shell is required)
PHOTOS, SLIDES & NEGATIVES
Bring your photo collection into the 21st century. Create a video slideshow from your photographs, negatives and/or slides in any combination or sequence - regardless of size, shape or age - complete with the music of your choice on the soundtrack. Each photo/slide is displayed onscreen for about six seconds before dissolving into the next, with optional custom-designed titles at the beginning and/or end of the video. The slideshow is available on DVD, Blu-Ray (add $5) or any type of digital storage you provide. Each project also includes a data CD-ROM with each photo or slide as individual digital files, perfect for posting to social media, attaching to emails or making new prints.
Photo prints, negatives and/or slides digitally scanned - $0.45 per photo/slide/negative
($10 minimum - quantity discounts may apply) (includes color correction and basic clean-up)
Digital photos to DVD - $0.25 per digital photo (from cellphone, camera or memory card)
Digital retouching - $25 per hour (delivered as hi-res graphics files on CD-ROM or digital storage)
Additional copies of your DVD - $3 each; Blu-Ray $6.

It may seem that everything ever recorded would be readily available on CD by now. In fact, the vast majority of recordings made since 1877 have yet to see release on compact disc, not to mention homemade recordings dating back to the 1930s. We can accurately transfer any recording from virtually any format to CD or digital storage. All transfers include basic CD label printing, noise reduction - removing extraneous sounds like clicks, pops, ticks, rumble, hiss and buzz from the original recording - and re-mastering - equalization, compression and other treatments tastefully applied from a purist's perspective to improve the sound quality as much as possible while still retaining the atmosphere, feel and balance of the original recording.
We can work with any of the following formats:
- CD-R, CD-RW, DAT, MiniDisc
- 1/4“ open reel analog
(any size reel, any speed, any track configuration, Dolby B, C or dbx noise reduction; no Dolby A)
(any type - including microcassette; any but preferably no noise reduction)
- PCM F1 (on Betamax, S-VHS or VHS tape)
- Vinyl records (any size or speed - no cylinders)
- CD-ROM/DVD-ROM (containing audio files)
- Videotape (VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Betamax, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital 8 or MiniDV)
- Digital storage (hard drives, flash drives, memory cards)
- 8-track cartridge (stereo or quad)!
Audio transfer to CD - $15 per original CD (up to 80-minute capacity)
- includes noise reduction and remastering
- frequently, it is possible to fit 2 LPs/cassettes on a single CD ($5 extra for 2 LPs to CD-R)
Additional copies of the original CD - $3 each
Cassette tape repair - FREE
($5 if additional materials or a new shell is required)
