DANCE RECITAL VIDEOGRAPHY
The preparations...the music...the choreography...the practice...the costumes…the makeup and hair...the rehearsal...all lead up to one thing: THE DANCE RECITAL! Once it's over, you're left with only a memory; and memories fade. That's why having your dance recital professionally recorded by Flux Audio/Video is an absolute must! The final video is a keepsake that you, your instructors and your students will treasure for years to come.
We specialize in the finest quality videography for recitals and theatrical performances using state-of-the-art digital video and sound equipment. Capturing recitals and performances is an art form in itself. Changes in lighting (both in colour and intensity) and the complexity of capturing all of the audio (music, audience reactions, taps, etc.) provide many challenges in the production of the video. Our many years of experience in capturing "live" events has prepared us for mastering these challenges. Our professional digital cameras are exceptional when it comes to adjusting to the changes in the colour and brightness of stage lighting. The audio equipment we use provides the cleanest sound possible. There is only ONE chance to capture it right!

Well in advance of the show, we supply you with order forms for distribution to your students. When the video is completed, we even provide the dance studio with a complimentary copy so that you may remember all the students that have touched your life. And it’s a great service to offer to your students as they will keep their recital video for years to come, reminding them of all the great times and hard work they put into the show!
How much does it cost? Most of our performance videography is done ‘on spec,’ meaning the studio does not pay for production costs. Provided we receive a minimum of 30 prepaid orders (DVD and/or VHS), we do the job free! The cost per copy (DVD or VHS) is $25 (for shows lasting less than 2.5 hours - $35 per set for shows longer than 2.5 hours requiring 2 DVDs/tapes). Another option is to include the price of one copy in your 'recital fee' or 'costume fee'. This way, every family receives a DVD or tape of the performance without adding to the list of 'things to do' at recital time.
